Northburg - Stymied - EP

Northburg - Stymied

Northburg's  (John Graham), hails from Belfast, N.Ireland. Though from listening to his music you'd be forgiven for thinking he resided on Nexus 6. At times his serene soundscapes are reminiscent of Vangelis, yet that effortless 'float' of his own making also takes you off to new places. A master of subtlety, the cinematic and serene.

Stymied is a short excursion. Perfectly balanced, emotive electronica to watch the world go by. You can listen and pick it up here.

Divine Styler - Architectonic (Single)

Divine Styler

Divine Styler - The man they once called 'the Jimi Hendrix of Hip Hop' has retuned with what we feel is his strongest work to date. Over a decade since his highly acclaimed 'Directrix' long player dropped on Mo Wax, Divine Styler is now working on his fourth studio album 'Def Mask' which is planned for release later this year on Gamma. We'll let you know more in due course, expect a special edition vinyl pack. There's also a tour planned for UK/EU. We're taking initial bookings and planning interview slots, so do get in touch if you're interested in either.

Architectonic is a taste of what to expect from the new album, highly charged, well crafted, gritty electronic density with trademark lyrical intellect. Heavy synths battle crushing snares, it's a killer, it rocks, but it's also a breath of fresh air. Grab it via iTunes etc or grab it now from Gamma.

Fatalists - Unwelded (LP)

Fatalists Fatalists are back, with the much anticipated follow up to 2010's 'Between The Aisles' which earned them a BBC Radio 1 session and an 8/10 Rock Sound review.

'Unwelded' is a very different beast, with more depth and complexity added to the usual riff laden energy we've come to expect from the band. There's the sultry swagger of 'Old Hag' their popular recent single, but with gems like 'Stubborn Weeds' that sound more like an Andy Weatherall remix, come alt-psych excursion, the band certainly have duped any preconceived definitions or expectations.

Grab it via iTunes etc, or grab it on CD or MP3 here!

Fatalists - The Old Hag (Single)

Fat Janitor

Fatalists return with 'The Old Hag' the latest single from their imminent second album. Long recognised as one of Scotland's premier post-punk outfits, their latest material holds true to their heavy, heady roots but adds a new dimension, an almost swing like groove which sits somewhere between the worlds of QOTSA and The Jesus Lizard. Last time they scored a healthy 8/10 review from RockSound Magazine. That elusive 10 must be closer with this new material, it's still solid, it's still the Fatalists but it's certainly a notch or two up the scale.

Fatalists - The Old Hag (Gamma Proforma)

A huge record no doubt, grab it via iTunes etc, or grab it here!
